Mehtab Bagh Agra India

Mehtab Bagh – Park

Originally established by Emperor Babur, this park was part of a series of 11 on the Yamuna’s east bank, predating the Taj’s creation. Falling into disrepair, it became a mere sand mound. To safeguard the Taj from sand erosion, the park was restored. Now, it’s a prime viewpoint for the mausoleum.

Taj’s garden alignment mirrors this park’s. The classic view from the entrance gate’s fountain is remarkable, especially at sunset. The ticket office shuts 30 minutes prior, so arrive in time. An autorickshaw from central Agra is approximately ₹150.
